Dwarka Metro station with Blue Line came into the picture or let’s say Dwarka Metro Station came into operational on 31st December 2005. Subsequent sections opened between Dwarka – Dwarka Sector 9 on 1st April 2006, Barakhamba Road – Indraprastha on 11th November 2006, Indraprastha – Yamuna Bank on 10th May 2009, Yamuna Bank – Noida City Centre on 12th November 2009, and Dwarka Sector 9 – via Dwarka Sector 8 Metro Station to Dwarka Sector 21 on 30th October 2010. Grey Line was introduced from Dwarka around 4 years ago on dated 04th October 2019.
The Dwarka Sector-21 Metro Station is an underground station located on the Airport Express Line also known as “Orange Line” of the Delhi Metro. This station is located near Asia’s largest residential area, Dwarka. The station provides hassle-free interchange facility with “Blue Line” of the Delhi Metro.
The Dwarka Sector 8 metro station is located on the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro. This station was built as an extension to Dwarka Sector 21 in order to serve Dwarka residents better and provide interchange with the Delhi Airport Express. The station was inaugurated on 30 October 2010, after the completion of successful trials and approval from the railway inspector.
Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector – 25 is a metro station extension for Airport Express Line servicing the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC). It is an underground station located within the IICC perimeters. Trials on this line started on 26 June 2022. It was inaugurated on 17 September 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC).
